Romain has a broad experience in structuring and managing investment funds, venture capital companies, securitisation vehicles and other investment SPVs for both private and institutional clients. He has special skills in transaction management in private equity and real estate. Romain has a significant track record in estate planning, financial engineering and corporate finance, where he is advising a wide range of clients since more than twenty-five years.

Romain has been involved in the set-up of some of the largest Luxembourg real estate investment funds, and is recognised as an expert providing high end added value to real estate projects.
He has been appointed as Director of Real Estate Funds and other regulated or unregulated real estate vehicles in Luxembourg.

During his career Romain developed expertise in many areas such as business consulting, insolvency, valuation, VAT and tax, including at ECJ level. Since several years he works essentially with large clients (both corporate and individual) in a domestic and cross-border context, using Luxembourg and international structures. He has held a number of seminars in areas such as VAT, domestic and international tax, corporate finance, succession planning and published various articles concerning Luxembourg and international tax law.

Romain has been co-founding Weber & Bontemps in 1988, which joined Grant Thornton in 2013. He started his career as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor before co-founding the practice which developed into a high-end multi-disciplinary group, active in the fields of audit, tax, accounting, consulting and fund administration and which forms now part of Grant Thornton Luxembourg.
