On the 3rd of May Grant Thornton presented the results of its Strategic Market Review that was conducted in 2016 amongst 80 Investment Firms in Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.
The presentation provided participants with valuable insights on the most representative trends and key challenges in the Investment PFS sector.
"The two challenges that have been most discussed with participants in Luxembourg were the increased regulatory requirements and the development of strategies to grow the business.
In comparison Liechtenstein-based Investment Firms reported the generation of an above-average performance as their main challenge, whereas the compliance with new regulations has been rated as the second most challenging topic.
Investment Firms also reported various challenges concerning risk management, operational efficiency and cost management as well as pricing strategies", explains David Kraushaar (Director in the Advisory department of Grant Thornton Luxembourg) who conducted the survey together with Egon Hutter (Financial Services Partner of Grant Thornton Liechtenstein) and who both presented the results.
