Together with Founder Institute to Launch Startup Program

Startup Launch Program Aims to Launch Over 20 Global Technology Companies per Year in Luxembourg

LUXEMBOURG - Grant Thornton Luxembourg is excited to announce that we have teamed up with the pre-seed startup accelerator, Founder Institute, to launch its first program in Luxembourg.

The founders of the accelerator aim to launch companies focusing on areas like AI, Automation, Aviation, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Dating, Education, Energy, FinTech, Gaming & Entertainment, Health & FoodTech, Legal, Real Estate, RegTech, Social Impact, Tourism, Travel and Sports.

“We recognize the essential economic role of all these startups as Grant Thornton Luxembourg strives to support entrepreneurs to help them become more sustainable through the right advice and long-term business guidance”, says Ralph Bourgnon, Tax & Accounting Partner of Grant Thornton Luxembourg.

For aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs up to the challenge, the Founder Institute’s comprehensive step-by-step program provides the structure, mentor support, and global network of entrepreneurs needed to start an enduring company. The Founder Institute is the only program of its kind that focuses on people versus ideas, accepts founders with day jobs, and shares equity with all participants.

On 20 February 2019, Grant Thornton Luxembourg hosted the weekly training session named “Develop a viable revenue source” during which mentors discussed on how to sustain a company before receiving financing, identifying the most lucrative revenue source for business and testing different revenue sources with the target customers.

The aim of the mentors provided by Grant Thornton is to support innovation and entrepreneurship by sharing their experience and providing meaningful feedback on startups’ development.
