Past Event: Tuesday, April 25, 2023

In the beginning of this year, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union have been entered into force the final text of their awaited Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). They have issued a new regulation to harmonise and enhance the requirements in terms of ICT risks management and digital operational resilience for the financial sector.

The DORA EU regulation ((EU) 2022/2554) shall be applicable from 17 January 2025 to a wide scope of financial entities in Luxembourg, including their ICT third party service providers. This new regulation shall be challenging for the targeted entities to comply with. However, it shall be beneficial according to the fact that the frequency of cyber-attacks, especially on the financial sector, have risen over the last years.

So, what do you need to know to meet the regulatory requirements:

  • How to approach each of the five pillars of the regulations.
  • Which are the intersection points with other regulation such as CSSF 20/750 or 22/806.
  • Which challenges you will encounter when implementing the mandatory digital operational testing program.
